Before known as Mandriva, this distribution is well known as Mandrake. In 2004 Mandrakesoft prosecuted in court because the name Mandrake notabene is name one of King Features characters. For prevention to be renamed Mandrake Mandrakelinux. In 2005, Mandrakesoft acquires Conectiva and change the company name became Mandriva. Now we called Mandriva.
